These exports allow you to download your completed book in a fully formatted Doc X file, ready for editing, sharing, or publishing. What Is a Book Export?
A "book export" is the process of downloading your completed book from Ghostwriter Express in one of the following formats:
A4
US Letter
Paperback 6"x9"
This file will be saved as a Doc X document, which can be opened in Microsoft Word or free alternatives like Google Docs, LibreOffice Writer, or Apache OpenOffice Writer. Once exported, you can make further edits, share it with your editor, or begin the publishing process.
How Many Exports Do I Get Per Month?
The number of book exports included in your plan depends on your subscription tier:
Essentials: 2 exports per month
Premium: 5 exports per month
Advanced: 10 exports per month
Professional: 15 exports per month
Executive: 25 exports per month
Enterprise: 50 exports per month
Each export allows you to fully download your book in one of the available formats. If you need more exports, consider upgrading to a higher-tier plan that includes additional exports.
What Happens If I Reach My Export Limit?
If you reach your monthly export limit, don’t worry—you can still work on your book using the Book Builder and copy any generated content directly into an external document. Here’s how:
Continue Generating Content: You can still create chapters, prefaces, acknowledgments, and more within the Book Builder.
Copy and Paste: Select and copy the content you've generated on the Ghostwriter Express platform and paste it into your existing exported file or an external document in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or another word processor.
Seamless Editing: Use the copied content to continue making progress on your book without needing to export again.
Tips for Maximizing Your Exports
To make the most of your book exports:
Finalize Content Before Exporting: Review and polish your book within the Book Builder to ensure it's as complete as possible before downloading.
Use Copy-Paste for Edits: If you need to make additional changes after exporting, copy content from Ghostwriter Express and integrate it into your exported file.
